Owner and director of Duran Nannies
Amabelle Duran
Amabelle is the owner and director of Duran Nannies. She is a Filipina who speaks Filipino, English and German. She moved to Switzerland in 2000 to be with her Filipino husband Olan whose work assignment is in Zurich.
A mother to two girls, Rebekkah, aged 17 and Rhianna, aged 16, Amabelle has been with child education all her life. In Switzerland, she worked with Globegarden Bilingual Preschool, Hands-on-Kids International Preschool , and Swiss International School-Zurich North (formerly Wallisellen International School). In the Philippines, she was a beloved teacher and coordinator in The Master’s Academy and the International Christian Academy.
With the passion for teaching children, service and people skills, she founded duran ACTS in 2013 and acquired My Happy Family in 2017. Initially specialising in placing Filipino Au Pairs, she acquired My Happy Family and expanded her services by placement of Nannies and Housekeepers.
